Little India is a world of its own. In my painting series, I seek to capture the vibrance of Little India and the people that visit. While it may seem like just another tourist location, Little India is a home away from home for many migrant workers. 

Through my time spent with the South Asian people, I've come to appreciate the culture of Little India. A community spirit permeates the place, a refreshing change from the fast-paced lifestyle of Singapore. Migrant workers often come here on their off days, drinking masala tea, doing grocery shopping and meeting friends without any sense of urgency. There's a liveliness in the slowness of it all; these are people who know how to enjoy life in the moment.
